Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to support quality assurance and automation initiatives for enterprise banking applications. This role focuses on automated and non-regression testing to help improve release quality, system stability, and delivery efficiency across global operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with development and operations teams across regional and international locations to enhance testing capabilities, improve automation coverage, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-regression testing for application releases to ensure system quality and stability.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium-based frameworks.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and support defect resolution.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through closure.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and support the adoption of testing best practices.
• Improve testing efficiency by increasing automation coverage and reducing testing lead times.
• Monitor and execute scheduled test jobs and testing activities.
• Maintain and improve existing testing frameworks, workflows, and processes.
• Prepare test documentation, execution reports, and status updates for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software testing or test automation roles.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise application environments is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with: Selenium test automation Java and/or Python programming REST API testing SQL scripting (SQL Server or Oracle preferred)Version control systems such as Git CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker, Kafka, or MQ technologies.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus.
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, or ITIL practices.
• Understanding of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB are an advantage.
