Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of large turbine compressors and other rotating equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site overhauls of large turbine compressors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to engineering teams and field technicians.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices in rotating machinery maintenance.
- Manage budgets, resources, and manpower for maintenance projects.
- Conduct training and mentorship programs for junior engineers and technicians.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and technical discussions, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (native-level proficiency in Japanese is required, as it is necessary to liaise work progress with the Japanese stakeholders and customers SV)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in rotating machinery maintenance and management.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for rotating equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a hands-on approach.
