Accountant (Construction/WIP)

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting, analysis, and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities • Oversee financial and statutory accounting for assigned entities. • Prepare monthly financial reports, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and year-end reporting. • Analyse work-in-progress (WIP) and provide insights on project profitability and cost efficiency. • Monitor financial performance, including gross profit margins by product group and region. • Support budgeting and forecasting processes at the group level. • Prepare and review key financial indicators and trend analysis. • Liaise with auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements. • Handle tax matters, including GST filings and corporate tax coordination. • Work with company secretaries on statutory and regulatory filings. • Support process improvements and other finance-related initiatives as required. Key Requirements • Degree in Accounting or a related discipline. • Relevant accounting experience; exposure to the construction industry is an advantage. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SAP is a plus. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. • Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
