Position: Project Manager (Building Engineering)

Well Established Singapore Base Engineering Services SME

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm), Saturday (8.30am – 1pm)

Employment Type: Permanent (Full-time)

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $11,000 + Variable Bonus

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution.
Develop and maintain the project execution plan.
Monitor project progress on site (works carried out by project engineers, foremen and subcontractors), track progress, identify deviations and take corrective actions.
Ensure the project is executed in accordance with contract requirements, HSE policies, company standards and regulatory/compliance needs (e.g., BCA, MOM, Workplace Safety).
Attend and lead project meetings, coordination workshops and site reviews with main contractor, consultant, clients and internal stakeholders.
Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, design changes, RFIs and ensure timely approval from consultant/main contractor.
Prepare tender/quotation evaluation, select suppliers/subcontractors, manage purchase orders, track delivery, inspect arrival and ensure quality/material compliance.
Prepare and monitor cost budgets, cashflow forecasts, variation orders, cost reports, revenue recognition and profitability analysis.
Coordinate with project engineers/site foremen to ensure proper installation, commissioning, testing & handover of MEP/Electrical systems.
Ensure project close-out: final commissioning, snagging, client handover, documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties) and reconcile final accounts.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans and escalate as required.
Maintain good client/consultant/contractor relationships.

Key Requirements

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline) – able to read electrical drawings, understand wiring installations, MEP / building services context.
Minimum 10 years of experience managing MEP/Electrical engineering projects in Singapore (preferably commercial, industrial or high-rise residential).
Proven track record in running multiple concurrent projects with budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
Good knowledge of electrical/MEP systems: switchgear, distribution boards, cabling, lighting, fire alarms, BMS, etc.
Willing to travel/visit sites frequently, and able to adapt to on-site environment (construction zones, outdoor conditions).
Familiarity with Singapore regulations and building codes (BCA, Fire Safety, Workplace Safety) is advantageous.
