Senior Business Analyst (Data Migration / Databricks)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead and support complex data migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, data analysis, stakeholder management, and end-to-end migration projects. Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks and AI-assisted analysis tools is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for large-scale data migration and transformation projects
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to define data requirements, mappings, and transformation rules
• Gather, document, and validate functional and data requirements
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance requirement gathering, documentation, and analysis
• Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings (STTM) for migration
• Support data validation, testing (UAT), and defect resolution
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement walkthroughs
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
• Work closely with engineering teams using modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks)
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on data migration projects
• Proven experience in: Data mapping and transformation, Data quality and reconciliation, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile certifications) are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, especially in financial and data-intensive environments
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives
• Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership capabilities

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

• Hands-on or working knowledge of Databricks
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Domain knowledge in large enterprise systems or financial systems
