Role Overview

The Head of IT is responsible for setting and executing the IT and Information Security strategy for the Singapore Branch. This role oversees daily IT operations, manages technology and security risks, ensures regulatory compliance, and works closely with the Singapore IT team, Head Office IT, and Information Security teams to support business growth and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the IT and Information Security strategy for the Singapore Branch
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure stability, and system maintenance
• Lead the Information Security program, including policies, controls, and incident management
• Ensure compliance with MAS regulations (e.g. TRM Guidelines, Outsourcing requirements) and Head Office standards
• Coordinate system development, enhancements, and new system onboarding with Head Office and local stakeholders
• Manage system access controls, authorisation, and security monitoring
• Identify, monitor, and resolve IT and Information Security risks and vulnerabilities
• Manage IT vendors, procurement, contracts, and cost control
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and address audit findings
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Singapore IT team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
• Handle ad-hoc IT and Information Security matters as assigned by the CEO and Head Office

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 12 years of experience in IT and/or Information Security
• Strong experience in banking environments and IT team management
• Familiar with MAS IT and Information Security regulations and industry best practices
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems (Windows, Windows Server, MS SQL, Linux RedHat, network and security tools)
• Professional certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CRISC, CISSP are highly preferred
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
