Golang Backend Engineer – Cloud & Scalable Systems

Looking to build scalable backend systems using Golang in a real-world enterprise environment? This role gives you hands-on exposure to cloud, microservices, and high-performance systems.

This is a 1 Year project renewable assignment under Agency Payroll & you will gain :

1. Exposure to large-scale distributed systems in production

2. Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure)

3. Work with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in real environments

4. Opportunity to design and build high-performance APIs handling real traffic

5. Experience working directly with enterprise client engineering teams

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Go (Golang)

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs for system integrations

• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently

• Participate in code reviews and drive best engineering practices

• Work closely with client technical teams to ensure seamless system integration

• Maintain proper documentation and version control (Git)

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of backend development experience using Go (Golang)

• Strong understanding of goroutines, concurrency, and Go channels

• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture

• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (advantageous)

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus

• Solid grasp of software design patterns and testing practices

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Comfortable working on-site with clients in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• Experience working in enterprise environments or distributed systems

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
