Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, and network security to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all sites. This role involves troubleshooting network issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with IT teams to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement network security measures such as VLANs, VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Perform regular network assessments, capacity planning, and upgrades to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to network incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices to recommend improvements.
  • Support network integration with cloud services and hybrid environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in network engineering or administration.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and DNS.
  • Experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or similar.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
