Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and Microsoft Azure platforms

• Administer and support Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services

• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user access, conditional access policies, SSO, and role-based access control

• Support Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and related security configurations

• Provision and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including virtual machines, App Services, storage accounts, and databases

• Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Azure services

• Configure and manage networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, VPN gateways, and routing

• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability, configure alerts, and perform initial incident investigation and resolution

• Perform patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management of servers and infrastructure components

• Support cost monitoring and optimisation initiatives to ensure cloud usage aligns with approved budgets

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using ARM templates, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation workflows

• Ensure infrastructure and access controls comply with security best practices and internal policies

• Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical configurations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles

• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services

• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 environments

• Solid understanding of cloud and on-premises networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, private connectivity, and routing

• Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems

• Familiarity with automation and scripting using ARM templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI

• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response in production environments

• Good understanding of security, identity management, and access controls

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a production support environment
