Responsibilities

Leader in data engineering strategy, architecture, and implementation
Mapping business data requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
Architecting and building ingestion pipelines to collect, clean, merge, and harmonize data from diverse sources.
Creating and implementing secure, cloud-based data infrastructure and access mechanisms.
ETL systems and databases monitoring and optimization for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Reusable data models construction
Maintain data catalogues with metadata and lineage.
Enforce data governance, quality, and security policies.
Provide guidance for greenfield and brownfield implementations, from problem definition to solution design.
Establish standards for assessments, discovery, and solutioning.
Influence adoption of modern data and infrastructure practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
Experience with Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.
Experience with orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) and DevOps tools (Docker, Git, Terraform).
Experience with Databricks and implementing batch/real-time data pipelines.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Extensive knowledge of system design, data structures, algorithms, and data modeling.
Extensive knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy (especially in public sector contexts).
People manager with mentoring experience.
