General Manager, IT

Job Summary

As the regional head of IT, you will drive business expansion and digital transformation by leading IT governance and Information Security across ITOCHU’s regional offices in Asia and Oceania, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Australia, and the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of ITOCHU HQ’s IT governance and IT security policies across regional offices to ensure compliance and operational excellence
• Communicate complex IT strategies and policies clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats to management, users, IT staff, and vendors within the Asia Oceania region
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with management, superiors, subordinates, local and overseas counterparts, users, and vendors to foster collaboration and trust
• Navigate and adapt to multicultural environments by demonstrating openness, cultural sensitivity, and resilience in diverse teams
• Analyze and resolve IT issues by identifying root causes from user support requests and developing practical, effective solutions to minimize disruptions
• Coach and motivate IT teams to enhance their performance and contribution towards organizational goals
• Proactively research and recommend new IT solutions by monitoring the latest technology trends and emerging cyber threats to strengthen regional IT capabilities
• Able to use business-level Japanese language skills to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking counterparts in the region and at Japan headquarters
