Staff Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary
AEM Holdings Ltd is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our Test Cell Solutions team. This role focuses on the development of automated semiconductor test solutions, with strong exposure to advanced mechanical design and thermal control applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs, manage prototype development cycles, and support product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical solutions for automated semiconductor test systems, including advanced thermal control concepts.
• Perform mechanical design and 3D CAD modelling using industry-standard tools.
• Manage the full prototype development lifecycle, including:Material procurementAssembly coordinationTesting, troubleshooting, and iterative improvement
• Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
• Conduct prototype testing and analyse performance data to drive design optimisations.
• Translate customer requirements into clear design and development specifications.
• Explore new technologies and propose test plans to evaluate feasibility for new product lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with automation and mechanism design, including motors, pneumatics, and sensors.
• Knowledge of thermal physics and thermal control applications is an advantage.
• Familiarity with measurement instrumentation and control systems is an advantage.
• Exposure to CFD simulation tools is an advantage.
