Manager (Special Events Relations)

What The Role Is You will manage local hospitality provisions for Foreign VIPs attending large-scale multilateral events hosted by senior MINDEF/SAF officials. You are responsible for ensuring seamless coordination and execution of diplomatic protocols whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. What You Will Be Working On • Assist in communicating with representatives of foreign countries invited for multilateral events • Send out invitations to foreign delegations and consolidate RSVPs in a timely and accurate manner • Manage in-country hospitalities and protocol arrangements during events to ensure VIP requirements are met • Ensure adherence to finance processes in accordance with MINDEF Financial Directives for all event-related expenditures • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth event operations and diplomatic relations Challenge(s) • Anticipating and responding to dynamic and fluid changes in requirements during event planning and execution phases • Making swift, confident, and rational decisions under pressure whilst maintaining diplomatic protocols and standards What We Are Looking For • Education in International Relations, Diplomatic Studies, Event Management, or a related field is advantageous • Prior experience in event management, diplomatic relations, or VIP protocol management is preferred • Possess diplomatic tact, cultural sensitivity, and maturity • Strong interpersonal skills for networking and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders • Leadership skills with ability to develop individual potential and collectively achieve desired outcomes • Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
