Software Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software Test Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium. The candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver
• Execute test cases (manual & automated) and analyze test results
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution
• Perform regression, functional, and smoke testing
• Maintain test documentation and reports
• Assist in improving automation frameworks and processes

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java / Python
• Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
• Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit frameworks
• Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA or similar
• Basic understanding of API testing (Postman or similar tools)
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Basic knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
