Job Summary
You will design, deploy, and maintain fiber optic and communication networks, support data center infrastructure, and coordinate on-site network installations to ensure seamless connectivity and system reliability across construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy fiber optic and communication networks to meet project specifications
- Install racks, structured cabling, and switches during data center build phases while coordinating with electrical and cooling teams
- Perform cable laying, trenching, and routing on-site to establish network infrastructure
- Set up temporary networks at construction sites to support ongoing operations
- Maintain internet connectivity, VPN, and surveillance systems to ensure continuous system availability
- Support engineers by providing connectivity tools and troubleshooting network issues promptly
- Install and configure telecom towers, 5G equipment, switches, and routers to enhance communication capabilities
- Perform CCTV cabling, installation, and configuration to secure project sites
- Implement access control systems, structured cabling, PA systems, and data networks for comprehensive site communication
- Coordinate with civil teams on-site to align network installations with construction activities
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of networking and low-voltage systems
- Utilize basic AutoCAD skills to interpret and assist with network layout plans
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including CCNA/CCNP concepts to support network design and troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot routers, firewalls, and network connectivity issues efficiently on-site
- Understanding of fiber optics and RF basics to support advanced communication systems
- Quick problem-solving skills to resolve network issues during installation and operation phases
