We are hiring for a Plant Controller and following is the Job Description:
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Support organization to set up internal control processes, Business Roles review and Segregation of Duty in the ERP system.
  • Prepare and organize site budget process, new year costing data preparation such as activity rate, BOM and Routing validation. Allocation Key determination for common costs.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances at all levels (sales, variable margins, fixed costs, CAPEX and depreciation, working capital), and initiate corrective actions.
  • Lead the monthly material balancing with production teams, provide and ensure reliability of manufacturing costs and inventory valuation via MUV and PPV analysis. Communicate with various stakeholders to provide an update of production process performance.
  • Monitor production cost by ensuring goods receipt operation and cost accrual are taken up on timely manner and report the cost movement regularly. Highlight any cost deviation to the site managers and BU FP&A promptly.
  • Provide Flash reporting components such as production fixed costs, variable production cost and yield variance to the FP&A BU per reporting schedule.
  • Perform control check and review AIS to detect any variances in regard to budget and Group Reporting Manual. Take corrective action to rectify the posting errors.
  • Investment cost control in close coordination with all stakeholders including local project team and Regional Engineering Team with regards to defining project structure, data allocation control and capitalization process.
  • Coordinate the yearly stock-take for all types of inventories on site.
  • Monitor and manage the provisions for slow-moving inventory.
  • Assist in various forms of audit exercises and statutory site surveys.
  • Monitoring the contracts to support IFRS16 entries, off balance sheet commitment, take-or-pay accruals.
  • Attend to property tax matter and coordinate any site visit by IRAS.
  • Attend to yearly site insurance renewals.
  • Track and report relevant financial KPI for the plant.

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the plant controlling function and activities in the new High Performance Polymers industrial site (Symphony) located in Jurong Island, Singapore.
  • Ensure to provide accurate and reliable financial information in a timely manner to the management and BU with appropriate KPIs and proposed improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with finance and accounting policies and procedures for both Statutory and Group.
  • Several interactions with various functional divisions and BU stakeholders.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, QUALITY AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

  • Apply and enforce in the department the rules and procedures of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality in accordance with AIMS and ISO.
  • Ensures the issuing and action for incident reports in his/ her area of his activity.
  • Implement HSEQ and Energy corrective actions in his/ her area of his activity.
  • Lead or participate in HSEQ and Energy working groups.
  • Participate in HSEQ audit program.

Education & Knowledge:

  • A degree or equivalent in Business Management/ Accounting with at least 6 years of relevant work experience handling full site controlling.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, business intelligence tools and SAP.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and local regulations.
  • Compliance oriented.
  • Audit experience will be an added advantage.
