Data Governance Analyst

Key Responsibilities 

1. Data Governance & Data Quality 

• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls. 

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across systems. 

• Implement automated data validation and reconciliation processes. 

• Define and standardize KPIs and reporting logic across business units. 

2. Regulatory & Risk Reporting 

• Support regulatory reporting initiatives (e.g., Basel, IFRS, financial regulatory submissions). 

• Design dashboards for compliance monitoring, threshold tracking, and risk analytics. 

• Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy. 

3. Data Engineering & ETL Management 

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT). 

• Integrate multiple data sources including data lakes, cloud storage, and enterprise systems. 

• Automate workflows to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual intervention. 

• Manage data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines. 

4. Analytics & Visualization 

• Develop stakeholder-facing dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. 

• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights. 

• Provide analytics support for operational, financial, and risk-related use cases. 

5. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration 

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

• Align data definitions and business logic across departments. 

• Provide root cause analysis and support for data discrepancies. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline. 
• Over 8 years of experience in Data Governance / Data Management / Data Analytics / Data 

• Candidate must have AiGP certification and DAMA

Strong knowledge of: 

• SQL & relational databases 

• ETL tools (Informatica, ADF, Airflow, etc.) 

• Data warehousing concepts 

• Data quality frameworks 

• Experience with visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau / Looker). 

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (Basel, IFRS, financial compliance) is advantageous. 

• Must have experience working with cloud platforms (Azure / GCP / BigQuery / Data Lake environments). 

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. 

Preferred Skills 

Python for data processing and automation. 

Experience in financial services / banking environment. 

Exposure to machine learning or risk modelling is a plus. 

Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Control-M, etc.).
