QA/QC ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assists in delivering the Q, C, D objectives of the Trackwork QA/QC Work Package:

•  To ensure that all activities related to quality are properly adhered as per the Quality Plan and contractual requirement.

•  To monitor the number of defects and non-conformances to minimize NCR’s and associated CONQ.

•  To ensure that Request For Inspection (RFI) is submitted on his QC inspection activities at least 3 days in advance that requires LTA CR150’s attendance.

•  To inform and submit all associated inspection and testing reports to the Trackwork Sr. QA/QC Engineer and to the Quality Administrator.

•  Liaise directly with the following entity regarding Quality issues and submit reports to Trackwork Sr. QA/QC Engineer: - LTA’s representative on site OR Construction and TSA Team

In addition to the above-mentioned items, the additional duties and responsibilities shall include in particular:

•  To conduct and control Pre and Post concreting inspection & activities (Electrical tests, Trackbed, Turnout and Walkway).

•  To monitor and control Concrete supplies (slump testing, temperature and cube making).

•  To monitor and arrange for the collection of concrete cubes on site.

•  To arrange and conduct 3rd rail components check, torqueing and gauging.

•  To attend to welding related activities and associated nondestructive & destructive tests as deemed necessary.

•  To monitor and control Jumper box installation.

•  Inspection and control of re-work and finishing activities (cable troughs, conduits and pit covers).

•  To follow and obey instructions from the CR150 Management at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum with 3 years experience in trackwork/MRT construction projects
• Degree in Engineering or other relevant qualification
• Must be familiar with safety procedure within the site
• Good team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment
• Posse good leadership and organizing abilities
