Assistant Project Manager (Power Transmission & Distribution)

Overview

NES Fircroft is supporting a leading engineering organization in Singapore to hire an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of high-voltage power transmission and substation projects.

This role will be involved in managing end-to-end project execution across HV/EHV substations (66kV–400kV), ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and execution of power transmission and substation projects (66kV to 400kV)
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
  • Oversee site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning works
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Review and manage project documentation including method statements, drawings, and reports
  • Support procurement, contract administration, and cost control activities
  • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to senior management

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5–10 years of experience in power transmission, substations, or EPC projects
  • Experience working on HV/EHV systems (minimum 66kV and above)
  • Exposure to GIS/AIS substations, transformers, and protection systems
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle (design → installation → commissioning)
  • Experience managing site-based activities in Singapore or similar environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
