Job Description
THE JOB
• Provide accurate information about prescription and over-the-counter medications within your scope of practice.
• Support in organizing community outreach and health promotion events.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and transactions for accountability and audit purposes.
• Manage inventory by replenishing stock, checking expiry dates, and disposing of expired or recalled items safely.
• Process payments and claims and ensure compliance with dispensary standard operating procedures.
• Keep the dispensary clean, organised, and welcoming for all visitors.
• Prepare, pack, and label medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist/nurse.
• Review prescription orders for clarity and completeness and clarify details with pharmacists/nurse as required. Maintain confidentiality in handling patient information and follow PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) guidelines.
• Check expiry dates and ensure safe storage of medications according to Singapore’s regulatory standards.
THE PERSON
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in outpatient setting; minimum 5 years for Senior Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Course (recognized in Singapore).
• Valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Singapore Pharmacy Council is preferred.
• Experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore’s pharmacy regulations and healthcare practices.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.
