Urgent!! Business Analyst (Data Governance / Protection Specialist )

HIGHTLIGHT

• Five days work week

• 2 years contract role

Responsibility

• Plan and conduct regular data stocktake to ensure data is inventoried meaningfully.

• Plan and conduct regular data classification reviews to ensure data is classified in accordance to organization data classification framework.

• Plan and conduct regular compliance checks, engage stakeholders to solicit evidence and close any identified gaps, and report findings to senior management.

• Plan and conduct data risk assessments and personal data protection impact assessments.

• Identify gaps in awareness and implementation based on queries and compliance checks, to develop materials and implement engagements with business teams to advance the maturity and capabilities of staff on data management best practices, data protection, and policy compliance.

• Support the review, formulation, and update of organization data policies, frameworks, processes, procedures, and guidelines to keep up with industry best practices and refinements in WOG guidelines.

• Act as the main liaison for related Compliance queries and submission requests from other Government Agencies.

• Perform administrative and other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Management, Law, Information Management, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas.

  • leading and/or delivering data governance/ data protection/ data management/ related work.

  • formulating and implementing data governance related policies, standards, frameworks, processes, or guidelines.

  • conducting data risk assessments and/or data audits.

• Key skills and traits:

  • Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking skills, with the ability to join the dots.

  • Meticulous with keen attention to detail and yet able to see the strategic overview.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate and articulate complex policies and technical governance requirements in layman terms to business stakeholders.

  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Programme or project management skills.

• Professional certifications in data governance, data protection, cybersecurity, data privacy, incident management, data analytics, business analytics, data science, or related fields will be advantageous.

• Experience relevant to the drafting of, or compliance with Singapore Government IM8 policies would be advantageous.

• Experience in Data/ Cybersecurity would be advantageous.
