Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Support utility hook-up activities in a semiconductor plant by coordinating installation projects, ensuring safety and quality standards, and collaborating with subcontractors to deliver timely and compliant hookup installations.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility hook-up activities within the Semiconductor Plant to ensure timely and accurate installations
• Assist the Principal Engineer in overseeing project safety, design, planning, and installation of hookup activities to meet project deadlines
• Coordinate work schedules and tasks with subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient hookup installation processes
• Liaise with subcontractors on interfacing issues including wall openings, structures, ducts, pipes, conduits, and other installation requirements
• Obtain necessary approvals, permits, and permissions to comply with regulatory and project standards
• Maintain and update utility mapping tables to support accurate project documentation and tracking
• Implement and maintain a Quality System such as on-site 6S management to promote workplace organization and safety
• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks to verify material quality, installation accuracy, and testing compliance with in-house and industry standards
• Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure project alignment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience with General Construction Services (GCS) in a semiconductor plant for Engineer roles
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for Assistant Engineer positions
• Demonstrate independence, fast learning ability, and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors
