Responsibilities

Provide L2/3 technical support for Check Point, FortiGate, and Cisco firewall products to resolve security and connectivity issues
Monitor firewall health, analyze logs, and respond to security alerts to maintain network integrity
Troubleshoot network and firewall issues including VPN connectivity and performance to ensure continuous service availability
Manage firewall policies by creating, modifying, and cleaning up rules to optimize security posture
Support site-to-site and remote access VPN configurations and maintenance for secure communications
Handle incidents, service requests, and changes within defined SLA to maintain operational efficiency
Perform daily system checks including logs, backups, and interface status to ensure system reliability
Follow change management and security compliance processes to uphold organizational standards
Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams to resolve complex technical issues effectively
Assist in firewall deployments, migrations, upgrades, patching, and enhancements to improve infrastructure
Participate in rule optimization and cleanup activities to enhance firewall performance
Support disaster recovery (DR) testing and onboarding of new sites to ensure business continuity

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network and firewall issues
Willingness to work outside regular office hours to meet operational demands and support critical incidents
