DevOps Engineer (contract)

Our client, one of Asia-Pacific’s leading organizations is looking for:

DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable data platform and backend solutions
• Design and develop data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and orchestration to support operational and analytical workloads
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for secure data access and system integration
• Deploy and manage applications and data workloads on AWS cloud services (e.g. Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, RDS)
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and security checks within the DevSecOps lifecycle
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Implement monitoring, logging and performance tracking across applications, data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across applications, data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews and Agile delivery processes including Sprint Planning, Stand-ups and Retrospectives

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline with minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or DevOps roles with Agile project experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms (experience with Government Commercial Cloud is advantageous)
• Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence and SonarQube
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Programming experience in Python, Node.js, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React is advantageous
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, transformation and enterprise data platforms
