Embedded Software Engineer - Linux Embedded

Role Overview

The Embedded Software Engineer will develop and maintain embedded software systems running on embedded Linux platforms. The role involves designing, coding, debugging, and optimizing embedded applications while collaborating closely with hardware engineers to support product development and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software applications on embedded Linux platforms
• Design and implement low-level software, drivers, and system services
• Perform software debugging, testing, and performance optimization
• Support hardware bring-up and board support package (BSP) development
• Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure smooth hardware-software integration
• Develop and maintain software documentation and technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and system-level issues
• Participate in product development lifecycle from design to deployment

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Embedded Systems or related fields
• 1–3 years experience in embedded software development
• Experience with Embedded Linux development environment
• Proficiency in C / C++ programming
• Familiarity with Linux device drivers, kernel modules, or system-level programming
• Experience with cross-compilation, debugging tools, and version control systems
• Understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware-software interaction
