Mechanical Engineer
Location: Singapore
Start Date: May 2026
Contract: 6 months (with strong potential for renewal)
The Role:
Are you a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in commissioning, testing, quality, or inspections? Want to contribute to a high‑impact lab conversion project within the Flavours & Fragrances sector?
I’m supporting a leading global organisation that is transforming an existing commercial facility into a state-of-the-art R&D laboratory—and they’re looking for an engineer to join the team from May.
Role Overview
You’ll provide mechanical engineering support across installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance as part of a multidisciplinary project team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with <10 years’ experience looking to deepen their exposure to laboratory and R&D environments.
Responsibilities
• Support the mechanical scope on a commercial‑to‑R&D lab conversion
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and mechanical inspections
• Review drawings, technical documentation, FAT/SAT reports
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards
• Contribute to successful delivery of mechanical systems (HVAC, utilities, piping, lab systems)
Ideal Background
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• 3–10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience in F&F, chemicals, food & beverage, pharma, or lab/R&D projects
• Strong commissioning, QA/QC, testing, and inspection exposure
• Ability to work hands‑on in a fast-paced project environment
