Finance Transformation Lead – Subledger & Avaloq Platform

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established financial institution in Singapore, is looking for an experienced professional to support the design and implementation of a subledger architecture as part of their finance systems landscape.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, and Technology, and will work closely with Finance, IT teams, and external vendors to help design and implement a subledger structure that integrates effectively with the organization’s core systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting processes, financial systems, and system architecture, and be comfortable working in transformation or implementation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Finance and IT stakeholders to design and implement a subledger framework to support financial reporting and accounting processes
• Participate in the architecture design of financial systems, ensuring proper integration between subledger, core systems, and the general ledger
• Gather and translate business and accounting requirements into system and data architecture designs
• Support the implementation and configuration of financial systems, including subledger structures and related accounting workflows
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams during system design, implementation, and testing phases
• Ensure the solution aligns with accounting standards, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
• Provide documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal team

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
• At least 8 years of experience working with financial systems, accounting platforms, or finance technology implementations
• Strong understanding of subledger concepts, accounting flows, and financial reporting processes
• Experience working on finance system implementations or transformations
• Exposure to core banking or financial platforms such as Avaloq is an advantage, but not mandatory
• Ability to bridge Finance and IT teams, translating accounting requirements into system design
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
