Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute projects according to specifications, budget, and timeline to achieve successful delivery.
  • Establish and approve project objectives collaboratively with the Director to align with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental activities to resolve project-related issues efficiently.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Clients, Engineers, and their representatives to address project concerns and ensure alignment.
  • Identify training needs for project staff and organize appropriate training sessions, including on-site training, to enhance team capabilities.
  • Review material and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Approve material requisitions within authorized limits to maintain project progress.
  • Review all project variations and claim submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and ensure completeness of quality system documentation, including Project Management Plans, Project Quality Plans, method statements, Work Procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans.
  • Approve Project Management Plans, Project Quality Manuals, and other project-specific documented procedures to uphold quality standards.
  • Chair Project Quality System Review meetings to monitor and improve quality performance.
  • Appoint responsible staff for document and record control, inspection and test equipment management, and temporary works design and construction oversight.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality standards to safeguard personnel and project integrity.
  • Negotiate prices, special conditions, and addenda with subcontractors, including nominated subcontractors, and vet subcontract documents to secure favorable terms.
  • Agree on Final Accounts with subcontractors and Clients in collaboration with the Director to finalize project financials.
  • Obtain and manage bonds, warranties, and guarantees as required by contract terms to mitigate risks.
  • Review and approve subcontractors’ interim payment certificates based on completed works to ensure accurate payments.
