About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you won’t just be writing code, you’ll be building tools that make a real difference in people's lives. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering and real-world impact.

What you’ll do:

• Design reliable systems and write clean, high-quality code that is ready for the real world.

• Manage how applications are launched (deployments) and ensure they stay up and running 24/7.

• Create early-stage prototypes and find tech-driven ways to solve public challenges and navigate regulations.

• Bridge the Gap: Translate "tech-speak" into simple terms for partners and stakeholders who aren't technical.

• Lead & Mentor: Set the gold standard for how the team works (DevOps) and help junior engineers grow their careers.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for a seasoned developer who is as good with people as they are with code.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, lead level (7-8 years)

• Proficiency in languages like Java or Python, and modern frameworks like React or Angular.

• A Degree or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Problem Solver: You enjoy tackling "big picture" challenges, can debug complex issues efficiently, and know when to use a specific tool (and when not to).

• Great Communicator: You can explain your logic clearly and enjoy collaborating with a team to find the best solution.
