Geospatial/IoT Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting geospatial and IoT-based applications.
• Process and manage data from distributed sensors, edge devices, and geospatial platforms.
• Improve software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and cloud deployments.
• Support QA on test automation, bug fixing, and preparation of technical and architectural documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in .Net, Node.js, Python, Java, or Go and experience building RESTful APIs / microservices.
• Experience with IoT messaging protocols such as MQTT, Kafka, AMQP, or RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and container technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with geospatial technologies (PostGIS, GeoServer, ArcGIS) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform is advantageous.
