Job Title: DP Technical Superintendent (Electrical)
We are seeking a DP Technical Superintendent (Electrical) to join our ship management team in Singapore. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical management of assigned vessels, with strong focus on electrical systems and DP systems.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the electrical and DP-related technical management of assigned vessels
Provide shore-based technical support for vessel electrical, electronic, automation, and DP systems
Monitor vessel performance and ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out effectively and in a timely manner
Review defect reports, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate corrective actions with vessel teams, makers, and shipyards
Plan, monitor, and control electrical repair works, servicing, dry docking, and major overhauls
Ensure assigned vessels operate in compliance with class, flag state, statutory, company, and client requirements
Support budget preparation and cost control for electrical repairs, spare parts, and maintenance works
Review and monitor PMS records, service reports, and maintenance schedules for electrical and DP systems
Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, ETOs, OEM makers, class surveyors, and shipyards on technical matters
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Support vessel inspections, audits, client reviews, and readiness for operational requirements
Maintain proper technical documentation, reports, and service records for assigned vessels
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Electrical Engineering, Electro-Technical, or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years of onboard DP2 / DP3 vessels as ETO
Strong hands-on experience and technical knowledge in electrical systems, DP systems, automation, navigation, communication, and shipboard electronics.
Willingness to travel internationally for vessel inspections, repairs, and maintenance whenever required
Willingness to work outside regular business hours, as required, to support vessels across multiple time zones
Able to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to operational and technical issues in a timely manner
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
