Job Responsibilities
Financial System Setup (From Scratch): Establish the full set of accounts, chart of accounts, and financial reporting templates for the Singapore entity, ensuring alignment with Group standards and local statutory requirements from day one.
Compliance & Tax Management: Oversee all tax matters for the Singapore entity, including tax filing, planning, internal controls, and audit coordination (annual and special audits). Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, banks, and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
Internal Control Design: Design and implement robust internal controls tailored to the F&B/Retail industry, specifically covering cash management across outlets, inventory shrinkage prevention, monthly stocktake procedures, and fixed asset verification.
Financial Accounting & Reporting: Manage the full financial cycle, including journal entries, month-end/year-end closing, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Prepare regular funding planning and cash management reports.
Data Analysis & Consolidation: Consolidate and analyze regional financial and operational data to provide valuable insights for management decision-making.
Inventory & Asset Oversight: Supervise and guide retail outlets in monthly stocktakes and quarterly fixed asset verification. Ensure accuracy of data in SAP systems and assist in optimizing inventory management processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Act effectively as the liaison between regional operations and the Group Finance Department to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience. Experience handling full sets of accounts is highly preferred.
Solid experience in the F&B or Retail industry is essential. Candidates must understand the operational challenges of multi-outlet retail.
Proficient with accounting software. Experience with Xero, Kingdee, or similar ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a strong advantage.
Solid knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and taxation.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
