Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions across our enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), strong automation skills, and a proven track record of driving scalability, security, and efficiency in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Design

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

  • Collaborate with architects and developers to define cloud strategies and best practices.

• Infrastructure Automation

  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

  • Automate deployment pipelines and operational tasks to improve efficiency.

• Operations & Monitoring

  • Manage cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost optimization.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).

• Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cloud security policies, identity and access management, and compliance standards.

  • Conduct regular audits and implement remediation strategies.

• Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.

  • Partner with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  
  5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.

• Hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud governance.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.

• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud strategies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Knowledge of FinOps practices for cloud cost management.
