• Position Title: Automation Engineer (SCADA)
• Working Location: Tuas (Company transport provided)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + Transport Allowance + Retention Bonus + AWS + Quarterly Incentive
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build SCADA/HMI solutions for waste treatment and incineration plants using AVEVA Wonderware System Platform and Wonderware InTouch.
• Install and configure AVEVA System Platform in a redundant architecture, including ArchestrA IDE, Galaxy Repository, InTouch HMI, AOS, Historian, comm drivers, System Management Console, and License Manager.
• Set up real-time data collection, trending, alarms, reporting, and historical data logging.
• Configure and maintain industrial communications (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA/DA, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, MelsecNet) to ensure reliable real-time data exchange.
• Integrate SCADA with field devices such as PLCs, RTUs, VFDs, sensors, CEMS, and other plant instruments.
• Work with PLC platforms and tools including Schneider Modicon (M340/M580) – Control Expert, Siemens S7-300/S7-400 – STEP 7 v5.x, and Mitsubishi MELSEC Q – GX Developer.
• Utilize supporting automation software such as KEPServerEX, Dream Report, WIN-911, and CEMS applications.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging across hardware and software.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (I/O lists, tag databases, wiring diagrams, SOPs).
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams (project, automation/controls, process, and field technicians) through installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical support during tender and development stages (remote and on-site)
• Maintain cybersecurity, data integrity, and overall system reliability.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation
• Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in SCADA programming and industrial automation.
• Proven experience with SCADA platforms such as AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform.
• Familiarity with PLC systems from Schneider Electric and Siemens.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, OPC UA/DA,
• PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and MelsecNet.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of industrial processes and control systems.
• Experience in water/wastewater, power, manufacturing, or oil & gas sectors.
• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices for SCADA/OT environments.
• Experience with Industrial IoT platforms or cloud integration technologies.
