L2 Network Engineer – 5 months contract role_Rotational shifts

 Role Summary

L2 Network Engineer responsible for supporting enterprise network operations, resolving escalations, performing configurations, and ensuring stability of the bank’s network infrastructure. The engineer must manage incidents end-to-end, handle BAU changes within bank windows, and work on enhancement/upgrade projects.

🔧 Responsibilities (Condensed & Recruiter-friendly)

               •             Understand enterprise network architecture, processes, change windows.

               •             Deliver network solutions and configurations (Day-1 readiness).

               •             Perform troubleshooting, break/fix, and escalated issue resolution.

               •             Support Cisco ACI, F5 LTM, and routing/switching environments.

               •             Handle low–medium complexity installations, deployments, and upgrades.

               •             Maintain documentation, SOPs, and project administration.

               •             Participate in on-site activities, root cause analysis, and post-incident fixes.

               •             Present basic technical updates to customer teams when required.

               •             Demonstrate strong ownership and drive BAU tasks to closure.

Must-Have Skills:

Core Mandatory

               1.           Cisco Routing & Switching (enterprise level)

               2.           F5 LTM (hands-on configuration & troubleshooting)

               3.           Cisco ACI (tenant, contracts, BD/EPG, fabric basics)

               4.           L2 support experience in enterprise/banking environment

               5.           Incident & change management (ITIL)

               6.           Minimum 5+ years experience

               7.           CCNA (mandatory)

Good to Have

               •             CCNP (advantage)

               •             Firewall basics (ASA / Palo Alto)

               •             Load balancer troubleshooting

               •             Wireshark packet capture

               •             Familiarity with data center networking
