Job Description

Element has an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global TIC business. This role is based in Singapore • Prepare technical and commercial proposals during tender stage including bills of quantities material quantity and taking off quantities, attend site show round, site visit, attend tender briefing, seeks clarifications with respective client/ consultant if any. • Study details and discuss with management, attend tender interviews including method statement, technical proposal presentation and tender clarification. • Manpower and resources budgeting, monthly monitoring, review and update. • Prepare pricing of bill of quantity and re-measurement works. • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements. • Monitor tender/quotation results, check tender/quotation status via Gebiz and inform management; for private tender/quotation, to follow-up closely with client. • Collaborate with client for kick off meeting and attend kick off meeting with project team Prepare handing over and brief project details scope with project team, review contract documents. • Evaluate and handle all contractual issues, variation orders, insurances/bond and render support/advice to project team. • Conduct cost analysis, manage project timeline and cost conduct commercial negotiations. • Attending site visit to monitor site progress and performance. • In charge of preparing progress claim submission, variation orders to client and handling subcontractors’ claims. • Call for a quotation from supplier and/or subcon if necessary. • Assist in material/equipment procurement, inventory, and general administration task other duties as may be assigned on a need basis requirement. • Preparation of technical details & costing for tender submission. • Handle progress claims and progress payment, verifying payment to sub-contractors, ensuring all variations to contract are captured and tracking variation orders. • Conduct cost analysis, manage project timeline and cost, conduct commercial negotiations. • Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, developers, and contractors on certification of claims for payments. • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Requirement: • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 2–3 years in QS or cost management roles; experience in building or M&E projects preferred. • Skills: • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration. • Familiarity with standard forms of contract • Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and QS software • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. • Professional Membership preferred
