Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Time Charter Trip
• Arrange most economical bunker plan and supply for managed vessels.
• Keeping vessel and owner informed about charterers voyage, loading and discharge instructions.
• Assigning port agent and arranging advances, verify port costs and settle final disbursement accounts.
• Keeping IMOS System updated with data about the voyage, bunkering etc.
• Monitor L.O.I. received before arrival discharge port.
• Ensure freight invoices are issued and freight collected.
• Produce and distribute updated calculations from IMOS System.
• Maintain voyage file.
• Estimate demurrage throughout the voyage and supply Claims handover sheet to Commercial Claims desk.
• Calculate speed and performance on time chartered vessels.
• Analyze actual voyage economics for accuracy and how they relate to estimates, explaining causes of variances.
Voyage charter vessel
• Provide relevant information concerning the voyage and its progress.
• Issuance of voyage orders and keeping vessel and owner informed about charterers voyage, loading and discharge instructions.
• Issue freight invoice using IMOS system
• Ensure proper L.O.I. issued.
• Review shipowner freight invoices for accuracy and pass on to customer for payment.
• Maintain voyage file and daily position list.
• Estimate demurrage throughout the voyage and supply Claims handover sheet to Commercial Claims desk.
• Adheres to all current company policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management
• Prior shipboard operations experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer relations skills with a service-oriented mindset
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
