Lead Engineer – Wealth Management Platform

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the design, development, and technical leadership of our Wealth Management platform. This role combines hands-on engineering, system architecture, and team leadership, working closely with product, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver scalable and secure digital wealth solutions.

You will play a key role in shaping the platform architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery aligned with our digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Development

• Lead development of the end-to-end Wealth Management platform, including digital channels and back-office systems
• Design, build, and maintain APIs and platform integrations
• Ensure high-quality code through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices
• Own development of high-risk or complex technical components

Architecture & Technical Design

• Define technical architecture and low-level system design
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, availability, and security requirements
• Work with engineering teams to implement modern architecture patterns and best practices

Team Leadership

• Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers
• Provide technical direction and ensure coding standards and design principles are followed
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and vendors
• Manage technical scope across sprints and releases
• Identify and manage technical dependencies and technical debt

Platform Operations

• Support incident management and root cause analysis
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and operational readiness for production systems
• Address security vulnerabilities and platform stability issues

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience building API-driven platforms
• Experience with:
• Java frameworks
• Node.js / NestJS
• React (frontend exposure)
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working with containerized environments
• Experience leading engineering teams (10+ engineers preferred)
• Experience working with vendors or external partners

Domain Knowledge

Experience in wealth or asset management systems is highly preferred, including:

• Portfolio management platforms
• Fund management and NAV processes
• Subscription / redemption flows
• Financial instruments (equities, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds)
• Market data integrations
• Regulatory awareness (MAS, AML/KYC)

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
