Job Description

Background

Sitting within the IT organisation, this role acts as an independent quality and reliability oversight function. The successful candidate will champion structured governance across system design, build, testing, release, and live operations — ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, and operationally robust.

This appointment presents an opportunity for an experienced technology professional to operate at the intersection of engineering excellence, operational resilience, and regulatory governance within a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce quality frameworks, release governance standards, and production-readiness controls across technology initiatives

  • Independently review solution designs, test strategies, and deployment plans to identify risk and strengthen go-live discipline

  • Define clear entry/exit criteria and ensure production-like test environments with strong configuration oversight

  • Set reliability benchmarks for live systems, including monitoring, performance thresholds, and operational readiness standards

  • Drive defect prevention and continuous improvement by translating incident learnings into systemic controls

  • Ensure alignment with regulatory standards (including MAS TRM and Cyber Hygiene) and maintain audit-ready documentation

  • Provide quality metrics and assurance reporting to senior stakeholders

Key Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Security, or related field

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience, including 3–5 years in QA, testing, secure SDLC, or technology risk oversight

  • Experience within financial services or other regulated environments preferred

  • Strong understanding of quality engineering, test automation, and production operations

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability tools, performance and resilience testing

  • Ability to independently assess risk and make balanced go/no-go decisions

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Certifications: ISTQB, CISSP/CSSLP, CEH or equivalent
