Operations Executive

Responsibilities • Responsible for the daily operations which include the scrutiny of contracts, preparation activities relating to payment security, documentation, insurance, survey, agency appointment, etc. • Implementation of trading operation for spot and term contracts • Liaise closely with external stakeholders, including but not limited to terminal owners and counterparties on timely product loading. • Ensure timely communication of the cargo nomination • Ensure timely updates of trade information into the trading system • Ensure smooth running for trade finance and billing related activities • Prepare, monitor, and verify invoices and documents for payment • Contribute to ERP system development • Accurately analyse and calculate demurrage with owner and counterparties • Maintain the database of operational information on a daily basis for analysis and reporting purposes • Ensure e-filing & documentation for each contract are done in a timely and accurate manner • Collaborate with team members and build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. Traders, Shipping, Contracts/Legal, Finance, Sinopec refineries, Sinopec terminals, HQ, and any concerned teams • Maintain excellent relationships with counterparties • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team • Comply and adhere to the policies and procedures of UNIPEC • Any other tasks as assigned Requirements • Preferred experience in commodity cargo operations in an oil major or trading house • Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese is an added advantage, as the successful candidate will be required to read and write Chinese documents and engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and quantitative skills • Proven team player, proactive • Able to manage time well, work under pressure • Ability to optimize the cargo flow and system • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
