Job Description
Position: M & E Technician/ Engineer
Our client are seeking a hands-on and technically skilled Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Technician to support the maintenance and smooth operation of corporate office facilities and residential properties in Singapore.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge in building systems and the ability to manage vendors while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1) Facilities Maintenance & Operations
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and essential building systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and urgent repair needs.
• Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Supervise external vendors (e.g., air-conditioning, pest control, fire safety, landscaping) to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
• Ensure fire protection systems, emergency lighting, and safety equipment are operational.
• Manage maintenance tools, spare parts, and inventory.
• Provide general handyman services including minor carpentry and fixture installations.
• Be on standby after office hours and weekends for urgent support when required.
2) Renovation & Fit-Out Support
• Assist in technical inspections of new or rental facilities during leasing stages.
• Liaise with landlords, contractors, and consultants during renovation and fit-out projects.
• Review technical drawings and M&E specifications.
• Supervise on-site renovation works to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and timelines.
• Support procurement of vendors and materials.
• Oversee testing and commissioning during project handover.
Requirements
• Diploma / ITE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in facilities or property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiar with Singapore workplace safety and building regulations.
• Strong vendor coordination and communication skills.
• Self-driven, reliable, and willing to provide standby support when required.
