Finance Lead - AI Startup

Kaishi is currently working with a fast growing AI startup here in Singapore to look for a Finance Lead to build out the finance function to own and build the company’s finance function from the ground up. This is a high-agency, hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable closing the books, building financial models, designing KPI frameworks, and partnering with founders on strategic decisions. You will operate as a one-person finance function initially, with the opportunity to build and scale the team over time.

What You’ll Own

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling (runway, hiring, expansion).

• Build and maintain robust 3-statement financial models.

• Oversee monthly close, revenue recognition, A/R, and cash management.

• Design financial reporting architecture and KPI dashboards (ARR, churn, gross margin, CAC/LTV).

• Partner with founders on pricing strategy, enterprise deal economics, and resource allocation.

• Implement scalable finance systems and create processes from scratch.

Who You are

• 5–10 years of experience in startup finance, FP&A;, investment banking, or Big 4 + SaaS.

• Experience operating in a fast-scaling or early-stage company.

• Strong modeling and analytical capabilities beyond basic spreadsheets.

• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise revenue models.

• High ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity.

• Strong communicator with conviction and stakeholder management skills.
