Application Developer (Java / AWS) | Finance | Up to $7500

This role leads the design, development and enhancement of enterprise Java applications on AWS, working closely with cross-functional and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions supporting high-availability financial systems.

• Design and deliver end-to-end Java solutions on AWS
• Build scalable, secure backend services (Spring, Microservices, REST APIs)
• Support production incidents (L2) and drive root cause resolution
• Troubleshoot complex issues to ensure system stability and performance
• Integrate Java applications with AWS services and messaging platforms
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing and ensure coding standards
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Document application specifications and maintain knowledge bases
• Follow change management processes for smooth releases
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years of Java development experience (Java 8 / 17 / 21)
• 2+ years’ experience with Spring Framework, Microservices and AWS
• Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate and/or Developer Associate) preferred
• Familiar with ISO standards and data formats (JSON, XML, YAML)
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
