Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging Huawei’s Public, Hybrid, and Edge Cloud platforms, as well as Big Data, AI, Cloud Security, and PaaS technologies.
• Support enterprise IT transformation across sectors including e-Commerce, Fintech, Transportation, Banking, Healthcare, Education, and the Public Sector.
• Act as a technical lead for public/hybrid cloud projects, covering VPC, security architecture, cloud-native service integration, and landing zone deployment.
• Collaborate with SaaS partners to co-develop joint industry solutions and integrate them into the Huawei Cloud ecosystem.
• Conduct Cloud/AI/Data workshops and executive briefings to build long-term trust with strategic customers and partners.
• Support pre-sales activities including opportunity insights, requirement analysis, solution design, pricing, and POC delivery for industry clients.
• Drive migration and deployment of public cloud products and solutions; ensure the successful delivery of key projects.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, gather competitive intelligence, and provide strategic input to business development and technical teams.
• Collaborate with sales (BD), R&D, and delivery teams to ensure continuous support and operation of key customer solutions.
• Gain insights into market trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics in Huawei Cloud’s Asia Pacific regions, and help shape go-to-market strategies and business development plans.
• Analyze digital transformation trends among Singapore’s leading enterprises, especially in transportation, energy, real estate, and retail, to identify and develop cloud migration strategies.
• Leverage best practices and solution experience from mature Chinese industries and Huawei’s China ecosystem, and work closely with local and regional teams to replicate successful models.
• Build localized solutions tailored to Singapore’s industry characteristics, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, coordinate resources, and drive benchmark customer breakthroughs.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a cloud solution architect or in technical sales, particularly in ICT or public/hybrid cloud solution design.
• Strong technical background in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Kubernetes, DevOps, cloud security, databases, and open-source technologies.
• Hands-on experience in CDN & Security projects and DevOps/Kubernetes implementations is required.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, PHP, C++, or SQL.
• AI and Big Data project experience is an added advantage.
• Familiar with the cloud computing ecosystem, cloud migration strategies, and digital transformation needs of large enterprises.
• Business-oriented with strong self-motivation, execution, and pressure management capabilities. Able to coordinate across teams and drive results.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and fast learning ability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
