We are seeking an experienced IT Change & Release Manager to manage end-to-end release planning and execution for complex banking applications within the Customer Management and Credit Originations domain. The role involves close coordination across application, testing, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure controlled, risk-managed and non-event production releases.

This is a hands-on senior role requiring strong technical understanding, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership across the full software development and release lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage technical deliverables, including system enhancements and upgrades, within agreed scope, budget and timelines

  • Coordinate and collaborate across multiple application and platform teams to manage technical dependencies

  • Plan, monitor and manage risks and issues related to release and deployment activities

  • Own the release lifecycle planning, scope control and execution governance

  • Communicate key project plans, milestones, dependencies and changes to stakeholders

  • Track delivery progress and ensure releases meet quality, budget and business requirements

  • Ensure required comparison, validation and readiness reports are prepared prior to production deployment

  • Partner closely with Test Managers to ensure successful completion of SIT, UAT, performance testing, load testing and application security testing

  • Prepare and manage detailed technical implementation and cutover plans across application teams

  • Coordinate deployment, production cutover and post-implementation support to ensure non-event releases

  • Escalate risks and issues impacting timelines proactively and propose mitigation or workaround solutions

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to system delivery, release or change management

  • Prior experience in banking or financial services is strongly preferred (UOB experience is an advantage)

  • Strong technical knowledge of open systems and modern application platforms

  • Hands-on understanding of Spring Boot, Microservices architecture and DevOps environments

  • Experience delivering large-scale, highly available enterprise applications

  • Good understanding of Retail and Corporate Loans Origination systems is an added advantage

  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile best practices)

  • Proven experience in release governance, risk management and production cutover management

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, system-thinking and solutioning abilities

  • Demonstrated experience in vendor coordination and stakeholder negotiation

  • Results-driven mindset with strong ownership and delivery focus
