Job Description
Position: finance director
Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Leadership
(1) Strategic Planning: Participate in developing the company's overall strategy, provide financial insights, and ensure financial resources support business growth objectives.
(2) Decision Support: Provides financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and board of directors, facilitating critical decisions on major investments, mergers and acquisitions, or business restructuring.
(3) Team Management: Lead the finance team (including accounting, taxation, fund management, and financial analysis) to enhance professional competence and operational efficiency.
(4) Financial system establishment: Ensuring financial compliance and internal control requirements.
2. Financial Operations and Control
(1) Financial Reporting: Ensure compliance with Singapore's Companies Act, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS). Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
(2) Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budget preparation, monitor implementation, and conduct rolling forecasts. Analyze variance causes and propose improvement recommendations.
(3) Internal Control Establish and maintain an effective internal control system to ensure asset security and prevent financial risks.
Coordinate with internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
3. Capital and Tax Management
(1) Capital Management
a. Manage cash flow, financing strategies, and bank relationships to optimize capital structure.
b. Monitor cross-border capital flows to mitigate exchange rate risks (particularly for multinational corporations).
(2) Tax Compliance and Planning
a. Ensure full compliance with Singapore Inland Revenue (IRAS) regulations, including timely filing of corporate income tax and GST (Goods and Services Tax).
b. Conduct strategic tax planning to leverage Singapore's preferential tax policies.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
(1) Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Regulatory updates from institutions including the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering requirements and corporate governance standards.
(2) Risk Management Identifying financial, operational, and strategic risks, and developing countermeasures. Assessing financial resilience within business continuity plans.
5. Business Collaboration and Optimization
(1) Business Partnerships: Collaborating with business units to evaluate the financial viability of new products, market expansion, or cost optimization initiatives.
(2) Digitalization and Systems: Drive financial digital transformation by optimizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial tools. 6. Core Financial Operations: Monthly bookkeeping tasks include recording accounting transactions, reviewing supporting documents, and preparing bank statements. Monitoring receivables and payables, processing payroll and tax entries, and generating monthly trial balance statements to support month-end closing.
7. Assist the Chairperson and team in conducting overseas visits and interviews when necessary.

Professional Qualifications:
1.CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent accounting certifications, with proficiency in IFRS/SFRS standards.
2.Experience: At least 10 years of financial experience, including 5 years of management experience. Candidates with experience in Singapore or African markets are preferred.
3.Skills: Proficient in financial analysis, ERP systems, and Excel/BI tools; possesses strategic thinking and cross-cultural communication skills.
4.Local knowledge mastery: Familiarity with Singapore's Companies Act, employment regulations, and CPF provisions; understanding of government subsidy and grant schemes.
5.Language: Fluent in both Chinese and English, with French proficiency as a plus.
6.Have strong logical thinking ability, data sensitivity and risk management awareness.
7.Demonstrates outstanding organizational coordination and multitasking abilities, coupled with exceptional communication skills and interpersonal competencies.
8.Capable of traveling for work at any time to meet domestic and international demands, and adaptable to fast-paced, multicultural work environments.
9.Have strong consciousness of confidentiality and high professional ethics.
