QA/QC Engineer (Structural steel / Construction)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement project-specific QA/QC procedures in compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Review and ensure materials and workmanship conform to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to enforce quality control measures.
• Manage material inspections, including off-site inspections, sampling, testing, and submission approvals.
• Monitor material status, maintain traceability records, and ensure proper documentation control.
• Oversee logistics coordination to ensure timely material delivery aligned with project schedules.
• Conduct internal inspections and support external audits (e.g., client or authority inspections).
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and promote a safe working culture on-site.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and handle ad-hoc quality-related matters as required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, preferably in structural steel projects.
• Familiar with CONQUAS, QMA, and relevant industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of quality documentation, inspection procedures, and material traceability.
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification is an added advantage.
