Devops Engineer - Contaract

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our CI/CD infrastructure and cloud-based systems. This role will focus on automating software delivery pipelines, managing containerized infrastructure, and ensuring security compliance for our applications. Experience with Singapore's public sector development practices and SHIP-HATS platform is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD and Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using SHIP-HATS (Singapore Government's centralized CI/CD platform)

• Optimize and manage GitLab CI/CD workflows to streamline software delivery processes

• Collaborate closely with test automation engineers and development teams to enhance deployment practices and reduce time-to-market

• Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to improve pipeline efficiency and reduce manual intervention

• Implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies

• Monitor pipeline performance and continuously improve build and deployment times

Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) or equivalent platforms

• Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestrate services with Kubernetes

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Docker Runners and associated CI/CD infrastructure

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for reproducible and scalable environments

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity of critical infrastructure

• Perform capacity planning and resource optimization to manage costs effectively

Security and Compliance

• Ensure security compliance for Salesforce-based applications throughout the entire development and deployment lifecycle

• Implement security best practices including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and security testing in CI/CD pipelines

• Maintain compliance with Singapore public sector security standards and Government Commercial Cloud requirements

• Conduct regular security audits and implement remediation measures

• Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and maintain secure coding practices

Collaboration and Documentation

• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to foster a DevOps culture

• Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on DevOps best practices

• Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• CI/CD Tools: Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD; familiarity with SHIP-HATS platform highly preferred

• Scripting Languages: Strong proficiency in Bash and Python for automation

• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments

• Cloud Platforms: Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCC)

• Version Control: Advanced Git knowledge and branching strategies

• Operating Systems: Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within Singapore's public sector or government agencies

• Knowledge of Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) infrastructure and compliance requirements

• Salesforce DevOps experience, including deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce CLI, SFDX, Copado)

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
