Job Description
• The supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of the tunnel construction crew, which includes tasks such as sinking shafts, boring tunnels, placing tunnel segments, and excavating in front of the shield.
• Responsible for ensuring that all operations conform to safety regulations. This includes verifying that shoring, bracing, and the movement of tunnel shields are conducted safely.
• The supervisor manages site workers for each shift, ensuring that work is completed according to the main contractor's program and requirements.
• They assist and support engineers in carrying out assigned works, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Typically, a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising temporary works and underground structures or tunneling is required.
