Engineering & Process Safety Manager

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client, a growing industrial technology company, is seeking an experienced engineering and process safety professional to lead engineering governance, asset integrity, operational excellence, and process safety initiatives across its operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive engineering, asset integrity, and process safety standards across the organization.
  • Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including HAZOP, MOC, risk assessments, incident investigations, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and recognized engineering standards.
  • Improve plant reliability, operational discipline, and safety performance.
  • Lead technical reviews, audits, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
  • Mentor engineering and operations teams while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Manage external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support facility expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in petrochemical, refining, gas processing, LNG, hydrogen, or similar process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and engineering governance.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, IEC, and ISO.
  • Proven leadership experience in high-hazard industrial environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
